Covid-19 Urgent Device Appeal

We are all facing unprecedented challenges and increased uncertainty, posed by the current Covid-19 crisis, but for some the impact is likely to be more significant.

Hospitals are curtailing visits to prevent the spread of the virus and so people are having to use videolinks to stay in touch with their loved ones, and very sadly, sometimes even say their last goodbyes. You can read more about how technology can help here.

At TMT First, we appreciate the importance of technology to keep everyone connected. Therefore, we are urgently appealing to any business or individual to donate any surplus or faulty tablets and mobile phones to help us connect hospitalised NHS patients and vulnerable individuals who are seriously or critically ill due to coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.

Why TMT First are getting involved?

We are an Authorised Samsung repair and service partner. Able to process large volumes of donated devices, and attempt repair on those devices that may be deemed faulty. All products received will be cleaned, tested and data wiped before distribution, to meet current UK regulations. Video call technology will be pre-installed on the devices before shipping them to NHS hospitals for critical care to use.

How to donate your surplus devices

  • Reset your mobile phone or tablet.
Please select the operating system below for further information on how to perform an Android or iOS factory reset. Don’t worry too much if you can’t reset. We always reset every device after it arrives and again after we have tested it. So if there was any personal data, it will be deleted before they are sent anywhere.
  • Pack up any unwanted/broken tablets or mobile phones and mark the package with ‘Donation’.
  • Please also send the charger/cables, if you have them!
  • If you would like to receive confirmation that we have received them, then please also send us your contact details with the devices (email address and/or mobile number).
  • Send donation to TMT First (Donations)  Bay 2, Holditch House, Holditch Road, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 9JQ.

The health and safety of our employees is paramount and so we are taking all precautions while we provide this service to keep people connected.
